Background

This Policy applies as between you, the User of this Web Site, and HU Loans Ltd ("HU Loans", "we", "our", "us"), the owner and provider of this Web Site. It explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you visit huloans.co.uk (the "Web Site") or interact with any of the Services or Systems available through it.

Cookies enable us to identify recurring visitors and analyse their browsing habits. Where e-commerce facilities are provided, Cookies may be used to store your Cart. "Data": collectively all information that you submit to the Web Site, including but not limited to Account details and information submitted using any of our Services or Systems.
"HU Loans": HU Loans Ltd, company number 09571904, whose registered office is at 623 Spring Bank West, Hull, United Kingdom, HU3 6LD.
"Service": any online facilities, tools, services or information that HU Loans makes available through the Web Site now or in the future.
"System": any online communications infrastructure that HU Loans makes available through the Web Site now or in the future, including but not limited to web-based email, message boards, live-chat facilities and email links.
"User" / "Users": any third party that accesses the Web Site and is not employed by HU Loans Ltd and acting in the course of their employment.
"Web Site": the website you are currently using (huloans.co.uk) and any sub-domains of this site unless expressly excluded by their own terms and conditions.

Without limitation, any of the following Data may be collected:

  5. profession;
  6. contact information such as email addresses and telephone numbers;
  7. demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests;
  8. financial information such as credit/debit card numbers or bank details;

  10. web browser type and version (automatically collected);
  11. operating system (automatically collected);
  12. a list of URLs starting with a referring site, your activity on this Web Site, and the site you exit to (automatically collected);
  13. Cookie information (see Clause 10 below).

3. Our Use of Data

  1. Any personal Data you submit will be retained by HU Loans for as long as you use the Services and Systems provided on the Web Site. Data submitted through any communications System that we provide may be retained for up to six (6) months after your last interaction, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
  2. Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to Clause 4, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties. This includes our affiliates and/or other companies within our corporate group.
  3. All personal Data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  4. We may require any or all of the Data above from time to time in order to provide you with the best possible service and experience when using our Web Site. Specifically, your Data may be used for the following purposes:

    • improvement of our products and services;
    • transmission by email of promotional materials that may be of interest to you (where you have consented to receive such communications);

HU Loans may, from time to time, employ the services of other parties for dealing with matters that include, but are not limited to, payment handling, credit checking, search-engine facilities, advertising and marketing.   1. HU Loans may, from time to time, expand or reduce its business and this may involve the sale or transfer of control of all or part of HU Loans. Data provided by Users will, where relevant to any part of our business so transferred, be transferred along with that part and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Policy, be permitted to use the Data for the purposes for which it was supplied.
  2. In the event that your Data is to be transferred in such a manner, you will be notified and given the choice to have your Data deleted or withheld from the new owner or controller wherever reasonably practicable.

Data security is of great importance to HU Loans. To protect your Data we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure Data collected online.

First-party Cookies that may be placed on your computer are detailed in Schedule 1 and third-party Cookies that may be placed on your computer are detailed in Schedule 2.
